Battlefield 2042 marks the return to the iconic all-out warfare of the franchise. Players will have to adapt to certain situations and overcome various obstacles which include the dynamically changing battlegrounds with the help of a squad and state of the art weapons and ammunition.

EA has also added more obstacles like tornadoes and other natural calamities that players have to deal with. This will undoubtedly make the game more enthusiastic to play.

The developers state that the maps have been built with next-gen compatibility in mind. This change will be seen in the huge amount of players. Campaign

Sadly, Battlefield 2042 will not feature a traditional single-player campaign as we’ve seen in the past games. Considering that the game is free this doesn’t come as much of a shock.

EA also states that the game will be a live service with support for seasonal battle passes some free and paid but will only be limited to cosmetic features such as character and weapons skins but will not affect any aspect of gameplay such as exclusive weapons or killstreaks.

Will Battlefield 2042 support crossplay?

As of 2021, Crossplay is an expected feature for games especially those that are to be released on next-gen consoles. So will battlefield 2042 support crossplay?

Up to now, there haven’t been any confirmations of crossplay support but seeing as EA is trying to drag in some of the Call of Duty: Warzone fans with this new release, the probability of crossplay is quite high.

Hopefully, for the first time in the franchise, you’ll be able to game with your friends regardless of whether you are on Xbox, Playstation or PC.

Battle Royale

DICE said during a presentation that Battlefield 2042 will not feature a battle royale mode at launch and that there are no plans for the development of one. They also confirmed that Hazard zone which is one of the revealed modes isn’t a battle royale mode as some were led to think.
